Kevin Campbell is a third-generation insurance salesman from Harrison, Arkansas. He worked alongside his grandfather, father and brothers for many years before branching out in 1991 to start The Campbell Agency / Work Comp Specialists. With great foresight, he decided his niche would be worker’s compensation insurance.
It all started when Kevin spent 90 days at home convalescing from a leg injury. He spent that time reading up on work comp and became fascinated with the many moving parts of this type of insurance. He knew this was an area he could really go to work for business owners to cut their costs and protect their checkbooks. At the time, work comp costs were extremely high for business owners, especially those with high risk. Summit Insurance allowed Work Comp Specialists to represent them, and Kevin began selling for that one carrier. Now, more than 30 years later, the company represents 12 leading Work Comp carriers and has managed more than $250 million in premiums with a 95% retention rate.
Kevin graduated in 1980 from the University of Arkansas with bachelor’s degrees in insurance and marketing. He always planned to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, but he knew he would not want to stay in Arkansas forever. His affection for Bay County began during family vacations to Panama City Beach. Kevin returned to the Panhandle in the 70s to work as a lifeguard. When he considered leaving Arkansas, he knew he would make Panama City Beach his home.
In 2004, with the workers compensation industry growing, Kevin partnered with Kian Ostovar to create the Central Florida office in Gainesville, and not long after, he moved to the Tampa Bay area to grow the company there. He met Kim, who grew up in Tampa, and the couple married in 2016.

Kim came to the Campbell Agency in 2016 with a strong background in business, management and finance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Kim started her career working alongside her parents in their restaurant, and then operated and managed a laundromat her father purchased. Family is most important to Kim, so when her father’s health forced him to retire sooner than expected, she switched her career path to insurance and sales.
Kim’s strong work ethic comes from watching her parents face and overcome challenges while building a new life in the United States. They immigrated from Vietnam when she was just 10 years old. Kim worked hard to learn English, achieve academically and succeed at building her family’s businesses.
Kim handles all finances for Work Comp Specialists, and brings in new clients in the Tampa Bay area. She enjoys going to work for business owners, always doing her best to protect them. Seeing firsthand how insurance and business are connected to finance and numbers allows her to give excellent service to business owners who employ Work Comp Specialists.
Kim is married to Kevin Campbell and has a son, Justin. The couple reside in Tampa and enjoy traveling in their spare time.

Family comes first for Angela, who joined Work Comp Specialists in 2006 when her youngest child started preschool. She worked 10 hours a week at that time as an administrative assistant to the management team. When all of her children were in elementary school, she upped her hours to about 30 and took on more responsibility as a claims specialist.
In 2016, Angela was promoted to manager and became instrumental in revamping the entire operation of Work Comp Specialists. She was charged with bringing office technology up to date, hiring and training new claims specialists and creating procedures that increased efficiency.
She loves her job helping clients manage their claims. Claims are what drive the cost of workers comp, so she is diligent in advising business owners about reducing them so they can save money on their premiums. She is the liaison between the carrier and the client, as well as an advocate for the client when it comes time to renew their policy.
Angela is from Huntington, West Virginia. Her husband’s career in Co2 beverage sales took the family to Melbourne Beach, Florida, where they experienced Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne, all within six weeks. The storms did not scare them away. A few years later, they relocated for a job opportunity in Panama City. They fell in love with the community and the beauty of the Emerald Coast.
She is married to Tim, and their blended family includes four sons, one daughter and one granddaughter. Quiet time sitting on the beach with a good book is Angela’s favorite pastime.
